Goal Setting

Goal setting is the process of deciding what you want to accomplish, and devising a plan to achieve the result you desire. Goal setting is the first step in getting it the next level, without this first step you have nothing to work towards. 


Positivity drives results. Studies show that if you switch your thinking and your habits to those of positive nature, you are more likely to succeed than fail. The brain is more responsive to positivity compared to negativity. 


Mindfulness is defined as a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique. 90% of sport performance is mental, therefore making it highly important to focus on putting our efforts in sharpening mental performance. 


Journaling is one of the most effective tools in tracking your goals and achievements. Studies have shown that physical copies of your hard work and your efforts towards your goals make you personally feel like you have grown. By keeping track of your progress, you can get a visual of how far you have come and what mountains you had to climb to get there.


Everyone is different, never forget that! Just because some tool works for one athlete, it doesn’t mean it has to work for you too. The beauty of sports psychology is that it is easily personalized to the individual. We, as a team, will work together to curate what is best to help you succeed and achieve your goals.
